KUNDALINI INTENSIVE WORKSHOP
Saturday 17th - Sunday 18th - March 2007
Roehampton - London - England
Info & Booking here
Organiser:
Dan Kahn, BA(Hons), MSc, BETD
The purpose of the two day Intensive is a means for initiating a physio-spiritual awakening through the activation of the energy of life that lies dormant in us all through different forms of meditation techniques combined with psycho-spiritual education in 2 days.
For long term seekers, the weekend is another way to accelerate their spiritual and energetic development to utilize these processes as part of their core practice.
TEACHERS:
Susan Carlson
Led by Senior Kundalini Teacher, Susan Carlson, BSN. She is a Registered Nurse, Transpersonal Hypnotherapist, Ordained Minister, and the Founder of the Kundalini Support Network. She has over 20+ years experience in traditional and wholistic health care. She has been guiding, teaching, and advising people worldwide for over 10 years. Individual whole body Shaktipat sessions by private appointment
Why should a person take this Intensive?
- You will enhance your spiritual practice to another level without replacing the one you have.
- You will learn with a proven and experienced master teacher of energy cultivation and transmission who will help initiate and accelerate the process, who will be accessible to you for the weekend, and take a personal, friendly interest in you and your process.
- To learn to cultivate your own inner energies through proven techniques.
- You will learn to be responsible for the awakening of your own spiritual energy, in your body without dependency on outside authorities.
What will I learn in this weekend?
- Meditation techniques both active and quiet; how to breathe and move for energy.
- Energetic anatomy: how kundalini is related to the body and its energy system and to the universe and its energy system. How to share the Energy of Life with each other for health and healing.
- Where this spiritualizing energy is present in the world's major spiritual traditions.
- Specific techniques and meditations which train people in inner energy cultivation and promote kundalini activation with time to practice them in a group. These are proven and time-tested, drawn from Yogic, Chinese, Shamanic, and Esoteric Western practices, traditional and non-traditional. Total Energy Immersion.
- Develop an effective, health promoting, and fun inner energy cultivation practice.
There will also be an opportunity to have Shaktipat (Kundalini energy exchange) from Susan Carlson.
How should I prepare to take the Kundalini Meditation Retreat?
- We recommend several books:
- Bushman Shaman by Bradford Keeney
- The Roots of Chinese Qigong by Yang Jwing Ming
- Kundalini: The Secret of Life by Mutkananda
- Practice Smiling: Close your eyes and think of something that makes you smile. Smile into your eyes and feel your eyes relax. Feel as is your eyes are floating gently within your eye sockets. Feel a loving, peaceful feeling in your eyes and let that spread throughout your body. Slowly open your eyes and carry that feeling with you and share it with others.
- Practice learning how to breathe: Breathe more deeply. With your awareness in your lungs, feel the sensations of your breath breathing itself into your lungs. Fill up your lungs totally with your breathing. Smile into your heart and lungs as your breathe. Feel as if you are breathing through every pore in your body, not just through your lungs. Continue this as a daily practice.
- Get a notebook to journal in your insights and discoveries from your reading and doing your smiling and breathing practice. Bring your journal to class so you can continue recording your experiences.
- And most importantly, bring a child like wonder with the capacity to be pleasantly surprised. Leave the cynicism at home!
Is there anyone who shouldn't take the Kundalini Meditation Retreat?
Our seminars are educational experiences, and are not to be mistaken for long-term therapy or cure. Some people may find our programs to be too psychologically or physically challenging. We recommend that in case of any doubt, a physician or trusted counselor be consulted.
