What can I expect to learn in a Kundalini Meditation Retreat?
- The basic anatomy and physiology of the body's energy system.
- How kundalini is related to the body and its energy system and to the universe and its energy system.
- To learn where Kundalini is present in the world's major spiritual traditions.
- Specific techniques and meditations which train people in inner energy cultivation and promote kundalini activation with time to practice them in a group. These are proven and time-tested, drawn from Yogic, Chinese, Shamanic, and Esoteric Western practices, traditional and non-traditional.
- Develop an effective, health promoting, and fun inner energy cultivation practice.
- To create an individual and group dynamic practice and support system.
- Discernment in choosing further teachers and health care practitioners to assist you in your kundalini process.
What are the benefits of taking a Kundalini Meditation Retreat?
- You will learn to be responsible for the awakening of your own spiritual energy in your body without dependency on outside authorities.
- You will enhance your spiritual practice to another level without replacing the one you have.
- You will be around proven and experienced master teachers of energy cultivation and transmission who will help initiate and accelerate the process, be accessible to you in the seminar, and take a personal, friendly interest in you and your process.
- You will meet people like you who want to learn and enjoy their process of awakening.
- If your kundalini is already awake, you will learn how to refine your practice for further optimum development and discovery regardless of whether you are a novice or an expert or somewhere in between.
- You will deepen your connection with your true inner self and with others.
- You will increase your health and sense of well being.
- You will have long term support and encouragement available through a private, graduates only email list.
- You will make lifetime friends and connections with like minded people from around the world.
How should I prepare to take the Kundalini Meditation Retreat?
- We recommend several books:
- Bushman Shaman by Bradford Keeney
- The Roots of Chinese Qigong by Yang Jwing Ming
- Kundalini: The Secret of Life by Mutkananda
- Practice Smiling: Close your eyes and think of something that makes you smile. Smile into your eyes and feel your eyes relax. Feel as is your eyes are floating gently within your eye sockets. Feel a loving, peaceful feeling in your eyes and let that spread throughout your body. Slowly open your eyes and carry that feeling with you and share it with others.
- Practice learning how to breathe: Breathe more deeply. With your awareness in your lungs, feel the sensations of your breath breathing itself into your lungs. Fill up your lungs totally with your breathing. Smile into your heart and lungs as your breathe. Feel as if you are breathing through every pore in your body, not just through your lungs. Continue this as a daily practice.
- Get a notebook to journal in your insights and discoveries from your reading and doing your smiling and breathing practice. Bring your journal to class so you can continue recording your experiences.
- And most importantly, bring a child like wonder with the capacity to be pleasantly surprised. Leave the cynicism at home!
Is there anyone who shouldn't take the Kundalini Meditation Retreat?
- Our seminars are educational experiences, and are not to be mistaken for long-term therapy or cure. Some people may find our programs to be too psychologically or physically challenging. We recommend that in case of any doubt, a physician or trusted counselor be consulted.
